Notes are the building blocks of your dashboards. They are managed using two dedicated Custom Post Types (CPTs), giving you a familiar tool (the WordPress editor) to build professional content cards.
1. Client Notes vs. Admin Notes
- Client Notes: Anything you publish here will appear on the Client Dashboard.
- Admin Notes: Anything you publish here will appear on the Admin Dashboard.
These are kept completely separate, so you never accidentally show internal project notes to a client.
2. Adding a New Note
- Navigate to Bright Dashboard > Client Notes (or Admin Notes).
- Click Add New.
- Title: This will be the bold heading at the top of your dashboard card.
- Editor: Use the standard WordPress block editor or classic editor to add text, lists, and images.
- Publish: Once you hit publish, the note is immediately live on the dashboard.
3. Organizing Your Notes
Dashboard cards are displayed in a clean grid layout based on their publication date.
- Priority: If you want a specific note (like a “Support Contact” note) to always appear first, you can adjust its publication date to be the most recent.
- Drafts: You can keep notes as “Drafts” to work on them privately. They will not appear on any dashboard until they are published.
4. Customizing the Card Icon
Currently, notes use a standard card layout. If you want to use symbols or specific formatting inside the card:
Tip: Keep your note titles short (3-5 words) to ensure they look great in the auto-scaling grid layout.
