Want to see Bright Dashboard Pro in action immediately? Follow this 5-minute guide to create your first custom dashboard and add a welcome message for your clients.
1. Enable the Client Dashboard
By default, the custom dashboards are disabled to keep your site clean until you’re ready.
- Navigate to Bright Dashboard > Dashboard Settings.
- Click on the Client Dashboard tab at the top.
- Toggle the Enable Client Dashboard switch to ON.
- Scroll to the bottom and click Save Changes.
Note: You’ll notice a new “Client Dashboard” menu item appears in your WordPress sidebar as soon as you save and reload the page.
2. Add Your First Note
The dashboard is a collection of “Notes” (content cards). Let’s add a welcome message.
- Navigate to Bright Dashboard > Client Notes.
- Click Add New Client Note.
- Give your note a title, like “Welcome to Your Website!”
- In the editor, add a friendly greeting or a quick link to your support email.
- Click Publish.
3. Preview the Result
Now, let’s see how it looks for the user.
- In your sidebar, click the new Client Dashboard link.
- You should see your welcome note displayed as a clean, professional card in the dashboard grid.

- Customize the Look: Go back to settings to add your agency logo and footer credits.
- Control Access: Set which user roles (like “Editor” or “Author”) can see this dashboard.
- Add an Admin View: Repeat Phase 1 for the Admin Dashboard tab to create a private workspace for your team.
